Do you need an energy pass?
The EU Directive on Overall Energy Efficiency of Buildings requires all member states to introduce an energy pass for buildings.
Gradual Introduction:
For apartment building built before 1965, energy passes will be compulsory as from 1 July 2008. For buildings built after 1965, energy passes will come compulsory as from 1 January 2009. For non-residential and publicly accessible buildings, energy passes must be submitted on 1 July 2009.
Energy passes give consumers objective information, shows energy-saving potential and makes it possible to easily compare the energy-related quality of buildings throught Germany.
We are listed with the DENA and hence authorised to issue energy passes for residential and non-residential buildings.
